Kaiako capture on iPhone, drafts wait for review on the web, and whānau see what your team sends them.

The day’s work, in one list.

Today shows what needs a person: drafts to review, moments that need a name, and replies from whānau.

The Today page in the console, greeting Pania: her draft of the Learning Story “The funnel fixes it” about Ihaia waiting to be reviewed, a photo and a video that still need a name, and an unread reply from Tipene.

Today in the console. The centre, kaiako and tamariki are made up.

You decide who publishes.

  • Roles

Kaiako, head teachers, admins and owners each see and do what their role allows.

  • A head teacher’s say

Choose whether only a head teacher can publish Learning Stories, notes, or photos sent straight to whānau.

  • No unread drafts

Publishing several moments at once never includes an AI draft that nobody has read.

The console’s Head teacher publishes settings for the sample centre: Learning stories on, Notes off, and Photos sent straight to whānau off.

Phones you can sign out.

By default, a new phone joins when a kaiako signs in on it, and a manager can turn on ‘Require approval for new phones’. A manager can see every phone in the console and sign one out remotely. The kaiako app opens with a 4-digit PIN and locks when idle, and a shared phone can switch between kaiako. It blocks screenshots by default. During the pilot, a kaiako can allow them on their phone for an hour, after which it switches itself off.

Set up from your roster.

Import children, rooms and whānau email addresses from a CSV file, with a preview before anything changes. A name you corrected by hand stays corrected next time. Add kaiako with a link you hand over in person.

Records you can hand over.

  • A child’s record

A head teacher can export a child’s record as a ZIP file that opens offline. Other children in it are written as ‘a friend’.

  • The audit log

Who did what, and when: publishing, consent changes, phone approvals and record exports, with a CSV export.

  • Insights

Which tamariki haven’t been seen lately, and how your Learning Stories cover Te Whāriki.
